Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt Regency Baltimore

Excellent location relative to Inner Harbor attractions makes this hotel a winner. But the service left a lot to be desired during my stay. I cut myself while a customer at their Perks coffee kiosk; it is in an unnecessarily cramped location, and it was necessary to squeeze between a structural pole and a low refrigerator case holding juices and yogurt. Through my pants, a sharp edge on the wood of the refrigerator case cut my shin just below my knee. The lone staff member working there expressed concern but all she did was advise me to tell a manager, and vaguely pointed towards one in the distance, who then disappeared to the back of the house before I could reach her. I eventually went downstairs to the front desk, and I was the only guest there. I asked the front desk clerk if there was a first aid kit; I explained the situation and asked specifically for some antibiotic cream/ointment (such as Neosporin). She said she had nothing like that but would call security. Two men came to me within a minute or two. They looked through a desk drawer across from the front desk but found nothing. I asked if there was a first aid kit and they said no. I then learned that they were not security, but had overheard me at the front desk and decided to try to help. One of them went to the back of the house and returned with an alcohol wipe and a packet of hydrocortisone cream. I thanked him for his effort but said that cream was useless in my situation. He said that was all security had to give him. Overhearing this, the same front desk clerk asked me if I could use the packet she had in her hand, which was triple antibiotic ointment. Yes, that is what I needed. I was very annoyed that she had what I needed yet sent me on a wild goose chase until finally waking up and realizing she had what I needed. Very poorly handled. ...read more

I liked this hotel. Great location, across the way from the Inner Harbor. Our room was a double and the beds were way too small, so I called the front desk to ask for a king bed. They didn't have anything - convention in town - so they upgraded us to a one-room suite. Amazing really. Really great bathroom amenities as well. ...read more

Overall 3.5 stars, breakfast buffet was decent, food should have been hotter. Our room had dust/dirt around the heat vent. Corner of the floor in the bathroom and the ceiling right over the shower head showed hints of mold. The view we had of the harbor was excellent. ...read more

All our needs were taken well met. The hotel lobby was modern and spacious as was our room. When asking the front desk about restaurant recommendations, they were very helpful and honest. We had a spectacular breakfast thanks to them! ...read more

Room was quiet. Had updated fixtures and linens. Very clean. Had no idea as to the amenities at the hotel - nothing was mentioned in the hotel guide in the room. Bistro 300 restaurant is overpriced for the food. Service is good. Restaurants at other nearby hotels were better and less expensive. ...read more
